Can you really guarantee 99.9% Uptime?
The Simple answer is Yes! We realise a lot of hosting companies promise high uptime's but don't deliver what they promise. We have carefully chosen to use one of the best state-of-the-art data centers in the world for our web hosting so we can truly deliver our promise to you (please see our Data Center FAQ page for more details). If you don't get at least 99.9% uptime we will refund your money (we have never had to do this yet!), in fact most customers experience 100% uptime, but we do have to allow for occasional down time every few years!
Another company offers cheaper hosting, should we use them instead?
The choice is, ofcourse, yours to make. However take a look at the facilities they offer, the data center they use and, if possible, any existing customer comments or reviews. I know from experience the cheapest isn't always the best. My first ever website was hosted by the cheapest company I could find, within 2 months my site had been down at least 3 times, once for over a week! Their technical support helpline was never answered and email support took approximately a week to get a reply, even then it was from an untrained person who knew little to nothing! They too promised over 99% uptime but simply didn't charge enough to provide the staff and hardware required to deliver!
Are my card details Secure?
YES! All payment is made via the Completely Secure Site Provided by Nochex. Nochex are specialists in Secure payment processing, which is why we do it this way, we leave it to the experts! At no point will Wizard I.C.T. ask for or have any records of your Credit/Debit Card details.
Will I receive free technical support?
Technical support is provided on 2 levels. For urgent support the fully trained Data Center technicians are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help you. They answer all support queries in an average of 15 minutes!
For less urgent queries such as how do I set up...? how do I change...? or can I add..? etc, our Microsoft certified Professionals provide an email support system to all our customers, however small the problem. We typically answer all questions within 24 hours, this allows us to give full attention to your query and provide a detailed reply. All technical support is completely free to all of our customers.
Do I have to purchase a Domain Name and Web Hosting together?
No. Either Web hosting or Domain Names can be purchased separately, but don't forget most packages offer a discount if you purchase the two together. You are welcome to use Domain names purchased from other companies with our hosting, simply ask them to change the Name (DNS) servers or setup forwarding for you. If they won't do this (almost all companies will these days) then the domain name registration can be passed to us for a small fee. Alternatively each plan can be used without a Domain name, using the sub-domain name we provide at setup.
Why do you not offer a free Domain name with your hosting like some companies?
As you are no doubt aware, you get nothing for free! Registering a Domain name costs money, companies that offer free names simply add the cost onto their hosting charge. We would rather keep the two things separate so you can see exactly what you are paying for and only pay for the things you need (hosts offering free domain names don't give you a discount if you already have a name to use!).
Can I add to my hosting Package at a later data?
Yes. Once your hosting package is set up you can add anything from extra Webspace to Dedicated IP addresses simply by sending an email or selecting the extras from your Control Panel. All extras are at resonably priced.
This is my first ever website, is your hosting suitable for me?
Don't worry. Our control panel is very straight forward to use, we also provide free site studio software to make designing your site simple. The control panel also gives you access to a very comprehensive help and tutorial section, which will answer most of your questions. If you still have problems, then our trained engineers are on hand to help you every step of the way, you really can't go wrong with Wizard webhosting! Alternatively select our Personal Plan, which is a Fully Managed Solution. We do all the hard stuff, leaving you to concentrate on designing your website!
Do you increase charges for renewals?
All renewals will be at the same price as your original purchase (both Hosting and Domain Names) in $US. This may mean a slight change (either up or down) in the pound sterling price depending on the exchange rate. This is due to the fact that we purchase all of our services in $US as this allows us to offer you the best value for money service.
Do you offer a choice between Microsoft and Linux Hosting?
No. We only offer Linux hosting, it is more secure, offers better features and is generally better suited to Web server applications. The main reason people often choose windows hosting is because they 'use windows at home' and 'don't know anything about Linux'. Quite simply non of this matters. It is only the platform your webserver is on, when it comes to using and setting up your website you will not notice any difference between Windows and Linux (both types generally use Apache webserver anyway)!
I don't have a Credit Card, can I still purchase hosting from you? Our online payment system is set up to accept MasterCard, Visa, Switch/Maestro and Delta. If you can't pay by any of these methods then we are also able to accept Natwest FastPay, Nochex, PayPal or Direct Bank Transfer (please email us if you require one of these payment methods)
Is there a minimum contract length?
All hosting packages are charged yearly. You can move your site before then if you choose but the webspace will remain yours to do with as you please for the rest of your paid time. Domain name registration lengths vary, but are typically 2 years. You can release your domain name or move it to another hosting company any time you choose.
Are there any restrictions on my website content?
Basically, anything deamed legal in both the US and UK are acceptable, this includes adult content. Warez are currently not considered legal due to copyright restrictions, therefore would have to be removed should we receive a complaint from the relevant software developer.
